Friday 3/21/14 Ride

Fellow Riders,

  • Friday promises to be a fine day for a ride with no chance for rain predicted.  Unfortunately my sister-in-law just passed away and we must go to Michigan so I will not be able to join ya’ll on a ride.  Those wishing to ride should meet at the Key Mart parking area about 10:30 AM and select a destination and ride leader at that time.  Enjoy and ride safe.   Dan

  • Day two of Spring 2014 was a gorgeous day.  In Dan's absence, Len took the lead and had 6 riders follow him to The Gray House. Those following Len included Lesley, Chuck (first time rider), Rob, Denny, me, and weekly sweeper Ed.  Len took us on some familiar, and some not so familiar roads to reach our lunch destination.  The ladies were cheerful as ever and seated us as far as possible from the front door.  I'm sure they weren't trying to keep the bikers out of sight, right??  The food was good as usual with the Amish Chicken and Burgoo soup big favorites.  The ride home saw a few peel-off as we made our way back through the Oconee County countryside.  Thanks Len for taking the lead.  It was another great day on two wheels.  Hopefully, we'll have a lot more this year.   Steve
