Friday 11/20/15 Ride

Fellow Riders,

Let’s not be discouraged by a little rain because it is supposed to be long gone by Friday so I’m planning to ride my motorcycle on dry roads all the way up to the Flat Rock Wood Room between Flat Rock and Hendersonville for some lunch. If you would like to join me let’s plan to leave the Key Mart parking area about 10:30 AM this Friday. C U then. Dan

Key Riding Points

Please consider the following points -

POINT ONE: The leader is not a certified Road Captain, does not carry a first aid kit, nor is certified in CPR or any other first aid skill that official Road Captains are required to possess. You are welcome to join our ride to lunch at your own risk. You are also welcome to take the lead should you have an interesting route in mind or a tasty restaurant you would like to try out.

POINT TWO: For our collective safety we encourage the use of standard Motorcycle Safety Foundation protocol for riding in a group, a staggered formation, maintaining a minimum two seconds behind the rider directly in front of you and a minimum one second behind the rider adjacent to you. We also try to use standard MSF hand signals for road hazards.

POINT THREE: Because we are a group primarily consisting of retired folks, we typically ride during the week, our rides tend to be rather leisurely, and enjoying lunch with our fellow motorcycle comrades is a very important part of the ride.

With these points in mind, if you still wish to join us while we ride about this beautiful country side in search of good food, make sure you understand these points.
