- It was another hot and dry day when nearly 130 motorcycles arrived to lead the 2016 Honoring Their Service escort to Keowee Key. The Upstate Legends Jeep Club was there once again to provide the transportation for the Marine service men and women from Camp Lejeune and the Wounded Warriors from the Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital. Crowds seemed a little lighter this year, but there was still plenty of Patriotic spirit on display along the route to honor those that fight for our freedom. The three days ended with an escorted trip over to Memorial Stadium at Clemson University. As usual, Clemson University did a fantastic job by giving them a tour of the Veterans Memorial outside the stadium, playing a thank-you speech by Dabo Swinney on the JumboTron, and displaying the names of all those being honored on the big screen as well. The tour of Dabo's office is always a favorite and CU provided a lunch and some momentos for the guests as well. This is truly an honor to participate in this event.
