Friday 02/28/20 Ride

Fellow Riders,

  • I'm looking at the forecast for Friday, and I'm glad it's looking like a dry and sunny day.  I'm planning to go to the Earle Street Kitchen and Bar (not Café) in Anderson for lunch.  If you're up for this ride, We'll plan on leaving the Key Mart parking area at 10:30 am.  Hope to see you there.    Steve
  • Today started out just like the forecast indicated on Wednesday - lots of sun and maybe hitting 50 degrees.  However, things change and by the time we were ready to leave, we knew we should take the shortest route home due to green blobs on the weather radar heading for Seneca. Joining me today were Steve G., Gary, Denny, Kevin, and Terry.  Riding along with us in a car were Bill - looks to be recovering very well, and Pat.  We took a nice ride around the outskirts of Anderson to avoid the always heavy traffic.  Thanks to a call ahead by Paulette, a table for eight awaited us.  This was a first time for this restaurant and they did a nice job with both the service and food.  We really didn't have a long wait for our food which varied from Steve G's (must have been 4 pound) meatloaf sandwich to fish tacos.  Everyone seemed to like the food.  As mentioned, we took a shorter route home than I had planned, but we still hit sprinkles along the way.  Steve G. was heading for Greenville, but he might have seen a bit more rain.  It was totally overcast and colder for the ride home, but still a great day on two wheels.   Steve
A little rustic looking on the outside,
but very cool on the inside.
