Friday 2/6/15 Ride

Fellow Riders,

  • It’s still winter and, it seems, Friday is no exception.  I must ride and since it is still cold out I think I will go for another shorter, closer to home destination, The Dienner’s Kitchen on SC123 in Seneca.  Should be able to get there and back without freezing and I don’t plan to start until 11:00 AM.  If you would like to join me, let’s plan to leave the Key Mart parking area about 11 AM this Friday.  Hope you can make it.     Dan

  • Today ranks near the top of "coldest" days this year. The temps were in the mid 30's as ten of us left the Key Mart parking lot.  As Rob said, "we either don't have much of a life, or we're all crazy to ride on a day like this."  Nonetheless, Dan led nine others on a ride to The Dienners Kitchen in Seneca.  Those along for the chilly ride with Dan included Lesley, Len, Rob, Russ, me, Charley, Kevin, Ed, and of course "ole Orange gloves," Bob.  As Bob Seger says, we were "shakin' off the cold" by the time we got to the restaurant. Deinner's put together a very good buffet and menu.  The food was great and very reasonably priced for the all you can eat buffet.  Hopefully, they don't go the way of the old Ryan's Steakhouse in Seneca.  Opening an all-you-can-eat buffet in this area is a risky business model, if you know what I mean.  After the meal, everyone made their way home.  The temps had not really increased, and we lost the sun, so heading home was a good choice.  Overall, it was another great day on two wheels.    Steve
And like this cutie says, "ain't nothin' sexier than  a guy with a pot belly
carrying a plate load of fried chicken and  mac-n-cheese."
